My friend just started IV Rochephin last week and he says he has been coughing up green flem- alot. He also has mycoplasm pneumonia.

Any ideas or feedback for him. He has a message into his Dr.

Your friend needs to see a doctor to make sure his lungs are clear. If he has active pneumonia, he may need a different antibiotic (in addition to the Rocephin for Lyme) to clear the acute infection.

Allergies and viruses can also cause cough and green phlem.
