I think I know the ear/liver connection.....does an increase in symptoms (burning, painful ears-the outside ear, not inner, pressure/fullness, increase in tinnitus) signal a declining liver ability to process toxins?

I have tried milk thistle (1/2 capsule) but felt like crud the next day so haven't taken it since. Do I need to suck it up and try again? Thnks.

By outside ear, do you mean ear canal (as opposed to the middle and inner ear on the other side of the ear drum) - or the sea shell outer-outer ear? Tinnitus can have many causes. Be sure you're not taking aspirin.

Yes, toxin buildup can be connected - &/or It can also be nerve involvement, inflammation, allergies, Ear wax build-up, etc.

You've likely seen the thread below - everything I know is there. The Bauman Ototoxicity book linked here has MUCH more detail. It's a very important book to get.

Liver support links are 3/4 of the way down page one. Milk Thistle is just one choice of many.

Sophie,
I have outer ear pain too. Especially when herxing on flagyl.
It could be myofascial pain. Pain coming from the neck and upper back muscles.
