My doc uses mepron as a cyst buster (with zith) or diflucan as a cyst buster (with tetracycline).
The mepron with zith has done some good work for me.

Tindamax would be the next best thing if you can't do Flagyl. Some would say Tindamax is even better than Flagyl.
I don't think it will interact with what you are on now, but if you wanted to double check, go to www.drugs.com, click "Interactions Checker," and use that tool to see.
Tindamax carries some of the same risks though. Hopefully you can tolerate it. Many people can when they couldn't tolerate Flagyl.

I did a "baby dose" of Tindamax (250mg) along with the same "baby dose" of Zithromax. I pulsed the Tindamax 3 times a week, but took the Zith every day.
I only lasted about 4 months and couldn't take it anymore. I was soooooooooo sick and lost too much weight. I still can't get my weight up to 100 lbs. I'm 5'2".
But, everyone is different! The Tindamax is definitely a milder version of Flagyl. Just try something and adjust accordingly...........we're all used to playing that game!
Good luck, terri3boys

BackinStOlaf, If Flagyl messed w your CNS, then I would think it's working as in killing Lyme.
My LLMD says Z-max puts Lyme into cyst form and you need Flagyl to bust of the Cyst form. I'm just repeating what I've been told and have also read all along from others.
I don't know about Biaxin and Plaquenil

I'm on a cyst buster regimen now, biaxin and plaquenil after having to experiment due to significant lyme symptoms. I'm steadily, but all so slowly, getting better. Seems everyone is different. Getting the right mix in my case (also have babs) has taken months of experimenting and 2 docs.
Keep at it!

I used tindamax and azrithromycin for months. I had to get tindamax at a compounding pharmacy.
