I recently had to go on a 5-day course of Zithromax for an upper respiratory infection. That has gotten better for the most part.

Prior to this, I was on 1,000 mg of Biaxin daily. After the Zithromax, I took a 6-day break from Abx. Today, I'm feeling bad again and got some old symptoms back - muscle pain, frontal headache, nausea, sweats, etc. Is it really plausible 6 days off Abx could cause issues?

I did some activities yesterday too which may be aggravating my body somewhat, but not a ton. I always wonder if Biaxin suppresses Babesia symptoms to a degree?

This sucks. I'm so tired of Abx. [Frown]

I have different symptoms than you, but when I missed a few days of Biaxin, my symptoms of air hunger, muscle twitching, and joint pain would come back.

One time, I stopped taking Levaquin for a few days and felt like I had the flu. When I added the Levaquin back in, I got better right away.

So I think a few days off abx could do this to you. I love my abx. [Smile]
