i know to take probiotics two hours away from biaxin, but what about vitamins?
i take a lot -- calcium, coq10, mag, garlic, multi, nac, etc.
can you take vitamins with probiotics or do i have to space everything two hours apart? say biaxin at 8, vitamins at 10, then biaxin about 4, then probiotics later on.

According to my MD Vitamins are better absorbed w/food.. minerals on empty.
Probiotics tell on package which is better if taken with or without food.
Antibiotics each have their own rules.

Some antibiotics react with certain minerals or vitamins that may make them less effective, so don't take vitamins/supps. together with antibiotics.
My doc says probiotics are best by themselves, last thing before bed, but at least 2 hours after antibiotics. I end up taking them alone on an empty stomach in mid-afternoon because that's the only way I can fit them in to be several hours from antibiotics.
I have taken them together with the vitamins before when my schedule is off, but I don't know if that is okay or not.
I am on 15 different things, which is probably not as many as some of you, and I have a huge pillbox and a bottle of drops and another of powder, and a bunch of alarms set on my phone. I am still not sure if I am really doing it all right.
I guess I must be doing okay, though, because I'm improving.
