My question is say I get a cold or flu...Is it worse then a normal person getting it because my body is filled with Lyme/ Co-Infections?

My question is because I've got a bad case of infection in my mouth and now I have a very bad sore throat and pain swallowing....Im going to see a LLMD on Monday and Im very excited to get better..been sick for 2 years.

I don't think a cold/flu/infection would be worse.

BUT I know from experience that relatively benign infections like this could set you back to zero. A major thing to focus on is strengthening your immune system. There are lots of threads here that you'd find beneficial.

I hope you get better soon! Best of luck to you.

It's not worse. But i'd say you're more likely to get a bug because your immune system is busy fighting lyme.

I've had lyme for at least 5 years and perhaps as long as 15 year, as well as babs. I had only taken one course of antibiotics in 26+ years. After the first few years off antibiotics, when I got sick, the intensity was much lower, this continued for some time. Since being on abx for nearly 1 year, I'm very careful about exposing myself to illness because when I get sick, I get quite ill-on top of herxing and dealing with toxins is a heavy load on the body. I think its because my immune system is so compromised and that the abx are not that great for the body, but very useful in treating all kinds of stuff that makes us sick.

If you're already sick (with Lyme), then having a bad cold or flu will indeed MAKE YOU FEEL WORSE THAN THE AVERAGE PERSON WITH THE SAME.
