What helps with the muscle twitching? I am currently taking 800-1,000 mg of magnesium daily as well as 2,000 I.U. of vitamin D. Any other ideas?

In addition to magnesium I have found colloidal minerals as well as branched chain amino acids and sometimes potassium and sodium to be helpful.
Balancing electrolytes helps a lot.

My LLMD recently told me to take 3,000 mg per day. I was having residual muscle twitching and it has really helped. But if have a few days that I don't take it all I have some twitching again.
So 1,000mg is not enough apparently.
Good luck!

Topical Magnesium - your body cannot absorb that high a dose of magnesium orally.

For me personally, magnesium (I find Perque brand and Natural Calm bran orally work fine- definitely notice a difference and I "up" them when I was extra twitchy.) and methyl B-12 shots. And of course getting further along on the road to recovery with Tx, too.

I have tried pills (various types of magnesium) with the magnesium oil. I am finding Natural Calm to work best...has high absorption compared to the pills. Combine with Derma Mag if you need to (oil). It really helps. And I have had really uncomfortable spasms and twitching. Today I have felt great after taking a double dose of natural calm last night....watch out for loose stools, you will have to work up to an optimal dose, and supplement with the oil.
