I'm only asking b/c I'm having Neuro Herx's from hell from just 6 doses of 750mg twice daily.

From what I'm reading it would take 3 days to have half of one dose of 750mg eliminated. So three days after one dose would leave 375mg still in you. If someone can explain this to me, I would love to hear the answer.

My math says to keep 1500mg in you, one would only need to dose twice daily of 750mg every 3 days or close to that. With that said, skipping a dose or even 2 doesn't do squat. Generally speaking a drug take about 4 half lives to be completely eliminated from the system. So if your on Mepron and doing terrible, it would take 12 days to get the paint out of your system.

On the flip side, since I'm 3 days in, adding doses at this point should not make me too much worse, as the first days dose is now half out of me and each subsequent dose I take just replaces each dose that drops in half from the prior 3rd day.

I guess I just answered my own question, but what I'm realizing is that 1500mg a day equates to about 4000mg at steady state plasma levels for those that dose this way. Hope I'm not confusing anyone. Amazing I can still think straight to compute this the way I'm feeling.

I jumped right in, but these were my instructions. I won't be able to add in the Artiminisin unless this settles down. I may not need it the way I'm going.

My nervous system is going haywire as well as my brain. I don't mind the Crying as this is a small symptom compared to the other stuff I'm feeling, like brain damage.

I know it's a Herx, but this is crazy...........

Lastly, I never had night sweats, but now I do. Just my head. I woke up and my hair was soaking wet like I just got out of a swimming pool (don't I wish), but the rest of me was dry.. What is that about. I thought the sweats came before the treatment. Lots of ?????????

Gary

I'm not sure, but it took a long time to get that stuff out of me. Not fun. I like Malarone better. It can get pretty brutal and think how many here brag they take 4-6 tsp daily (3,000-4,500 mg a day)...OMG.

lymetwister, Are you a lefty? Nice calcs!
Would appreciate your help with my dosing schedule...

Can you somehow rejoice in the sweaty head [Eek!] , since it sounds like the 'chetes are making an exit? What if you put an old towel down on your pillowcase, then did a ritual burning of the thing afterwards?
[Cool] Plz take a video clip so we can all cheer about it... [woohoo]

I think there's Mepron in my future. Would prefer wormwood. Have LBb, Bart, Babs, Ehrl, plus fungi and some viruses, none of whom i'd invited in...

seekhelp, thanks for bringing up Malarone. When i have the energy, i've so much more learning to do...

Tired,
Smile

My daughter has a difficult time with herxing and crashing when she starts full doses of anything. When she began Mepron she started at 1/4 teaspoon twice per day. She did that dose for a month, then once she got used to that she started on 1/2 teaspoon twice per day. She's been doing that for a month and will gradually increase up to a full teaspoon twice per day.

If she isn't slow/steady she crashes big time! It's hard because she wants to kill those bugs, but at the same time has to survive the slaughter.

I hear what you're saying about half life, but maybe it would be easier to handle if you took smaller doses and gradually build up?

I am sorry to hear that you're suffering so much. Hang in there, things will improve!
