I know you can't take them at the same time but can I take them together, meaning different times throughout the day

Yes, you can and SHOULD take magnesium while taking Cipro or Levaquin. Just be sure that you take your magnesium a few hours apart from the cipro or Levaquin.
It is thought that supplementing with magnesium while on Cipro, Levaquin may lessen the chance of tendon ruptures. Vitamin C is advisable as well.
