I know I am probably asking the obvious, but I just need to hear others experience with this.
Yesterday and today I woke up feeling "lighter" - if that makes any sense.
I had an acupuncture and massage appts.
BUT, every time I sit down at desk to work on computer, I feel like I could fall asleep right there.
Immediately, my head and eyes are heavy. I'm trying so hard to do my job, but it makes it so difficult to concentrate and be productive.
I guess it just confuses me cause the minute I stop trying to work at the computer, I feel lighter again.
Anyone out there have this?

- When you are tired as you describe your body is screaming for rest. In addition, many systems are just overloaded or broken (temporarily, we hope).
Some examples of what all is going on:
===================
The Inner Ear and Middle Ear (Vestibular system) if very often hit hard with lyme and other tick-borne infections - and from drugs that also stress the liver. Lyme is very toxic. The meds are also hard on the liver but we have to treat infection. Toxicity in the body will affect the inner ear and this is what happens then:
. . . Attempts to indulge avocational or vocational pursuits is frequently interdicted by either the languor of Lyme or by encephalopathy. . . .
. . . impairment of concentration, inattention, easy confusion or disorientation when attempting intellectual tasks. . . .
. . . Lyme patients can be easily irritated by anyone just walking into the same room even though eye contact is never made or words exchanged. . . .
. . . Eye related problems in LD are commonplace . . . .
. . . disorganization, an inability to follow a train of thought . . . .
. . . Others forgot how to spell even simple words, how to read or must re-read with varying degrees of comprehension. One patient drove to Philadelphia instead of the desired Princeton destination because the initial letters were identical and confused him. . . .
- MUCH more detail at the link above. -

I should clarify that this has been happening for weeks now, not just since the appts.
I mentioned those meaning I think they are the reason I feel better (lighter) past two days and wondering why the head/eye fatigue is not better also.

Wow so much info. Just need to stay awake to read it all
Now I am wondering if the weird sensation in my left ear is related.
It feels like something crawling around or hairs maybe? It is not constant but happens several times a day.

I get this too. It used to be SO BAD in the beginning, and it has gotten moderately better along with everything else, with treatment.
I have heard that this can also be associated with dysautonmia (POTS is a form, post orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), which can be caused or made worse by Lyme.
In the dysautonomia scenario, your blood is pooling in other parts of your body, like your lower body, and so the blood vessels are failing to adequately pump blood upwards to your brain. So you are working with very little blood up in the brain, making mental tasks exhausting physically.
Something like that.
So you can look into things like compression stockings, increasing salt if you are not salt sensitive, or drugs like Midodrine for the dysautonomia. So far the latter two help me a little but not much.
Otherwise, it's just a Lyme/Bart thing. I have struggled with it a lot. It's a little better. I think Bactrim helped me with that. But just overall treatment has improved my stamina.

Oh, I just thought of a better description I heard with the blood pressure/dysautonomia issue.
I also heard that with dysautonomia, when you actually TRY to USE your brain, that's when, ironically, your body starts allowing the blood to go elsewhere. Can't remember the reason.
If you join www.lymefriends.org, we have a Dysautonomia club, and in the materials lymednva posted, it explains all that.

jess you said "I know for sure I feel dizzy, nauseous, weak when there is florescent (sp?) lighting anywhere."
This made me think back to highschool and being in the gymnasium always made me feel off. I always said it was the weird lighting...

When I first got really sick I was a computer programmer. Sitting at the computer would wipe me out. I could read a book without a problem but sitting at the computer was a different story.
It turned out that I had become very sensitive to EMF's (Electromagnetic frequencies).
Seems like a lot of people with chronic illnesses like ours are sensitive to EMF's. For me, it is related to how toxic I am. When I am less toxic, I am able to tolerate EMF's much better.
Some LLMD's recommend that people limit their time exposed to EMF's. Some even recommend turning off your circuit breaker at night.
Some appliances that have high EMF's are hair dryers and can openers. Not much time near a can opener but I found using a low EMF hair dryer was helpful for me.
My husband and I put equipment diode's on our computers and wear personal diodes and that really helped a lot until I was able to get the toxins under control.
I have no financial interest in this company. I've been using their products for over a decade. There are many others on the market but I know this one works for me. http://www.energpolarit.com/
I have no idea if this is your problem but it very well could be. Some people who have this problem with EMF's will often discharge static electricity for what appears to be no reason. For example, they will get a zap when grabbing the car door handle.
