my boyfriend is getting a port installed for IV abx. contemplating chest versus upper arm placement.... curious if anyone here has done the upper arm site, and if so, how that worked out in terms of mobility and longevity --

Mine is in my chest. I have had Picc lines in my arms. It is easier to do the iv when it is in the chest. You have both arms to work with. There definitely is some pain in the beginning with placement, but I have no discomfort whatsoever .
