Has anyone been completely negative with Quest testing an then positive with Igenex? Not sure if im willing to spend the money now. Both my IGG,IGM,IFA, and Elisa were negative with Quest.all non-reactive.
Is that a pretty good indicator I don't have Lyme or should I pay to go to Igenex? I know quest isn't that reputable for lyme but something should have shown up right.

Well, if it were me.....I'd pay the $180.00 ( I think) and have the Igg & Igm tests for Lyme run. (I think it is #'s 188 & 189). If there was a reason to test with Quest, I'd go all the way to the best. (Hey, a rhyme!)

How do you know they were negative? Did you see the western blot to see if any bands were present?
It's $200 for #188 and #189, which is just the Lyme western blot. I did those and two co-s tests.
I only had band 41 positive through a mainstream lab-it was mayo. And then came up Igenex POS when I tested through them.

Hi Marine:
Our daughter was negative with Elisa (Quest) and negative WB (lab was in UT we were told) but we were never able to obtain band readings.
Igenex was 2 positive bands and 2 IND. 1 of the positives was 41 which is flagella vs. LB but the other three are all specific to the LB.
Note Babesia was negative and we had this run twice BUT Dr. B indicates there are only commercial tests available for 2 of 13 known and estimated 24 babesia strains.
Dr. J is treating our daughter for babesia based upon symptoms not blood results.
