I've read the cyst form can revert to the spirochete form so if not eradicated you relapse I'd also think as you kill them they release toxins.

Once you stop antibiotics, within a week the lyme comes out of the cyst form. So, you can never get off meds until you disrupt the cysts and kill the lyme that is in them.
So, the only way the lyme can "go away" as you say is to kill the cyst form along with the spirochete form.
Once you stop treating the lyme, that's when you feel better.
While you are treating it, you are killing it and it is releasing toxins. That doesn't feel so good.
Lyme has a 4 week flare cycle, so some may notice that they don't feel so horrible when this cycle hits. That would be because they have less and less lyme to make them feel sick as they kill off both the spirochetes and the cysts.
