I was on generic Doxy for 10 days then ran out for only one to 1.5 days before starting my new RX for Doryx.

Could that simple change in meds or just the day or two gap in medication, cause a herx?

I've been more painful yesterday and today .... my back ... lower spine and hip have been really hurting me! [Frown]

Ok, hubby and I just verified what I did. I had one morning dose ... the last dose of my Doxy on Thursday morning, and began with an evening dose of Doryx on Friday ... so I really had NO days without abx!

For what it's worth, I could not tolerate doryx - it caused a stronger herx for me.

I liked that it was specially coated to protect the stomach but it is also time-released and that made me feel like I was in a never ending brain fog.

Doxy was totally different. I did fine on that.

Aha! Ok, I'll have to see how I do on it then! I have been very achy and painful today! Hope it won't get worse! *sigh*
