How long did it take you to get to that point, and how long do you think you had Lyme for?

--------------------
First Symptom 9/09
Multiple docs, negative Labcorp test
LLMD: 1/10
Positive Igenex/CDC test
Treatment 2/10
2/10-8/10 Amox, ceftin, zith, flagyl
Currently: Bicillin, Minocycline, still dealing with severe breathing issues

I got sick with the flu like symptoms and was sick for 2 weeks--fall of 07---figured it out with help

from here and other people who have had it. Been here working to help ever since. Finally getting

better. Stick with it--it can work but it is a long hard road.

Pinelady: It's so weird because I never had the flu-like symptoms etc..when my first symptom of tingling started. My last cold/flu was years prior but that was during a really bad flu season.

This disease is very "interesting"

I don't think I qualify as being anywhere near 'cured', but I got sick around late sept. (flu-like symptoms for about 6 weeks) started getting abx around december.

So its been 10 months and for the last 3 or 4 I've been functional (most of the time), my symptoms seem to be fading, I go to the gym and etc.

Conservatively speaking, I hope to be recovered by next spring or sooner ( I don't believe I will be suffering for life, or even for 'years' because my infection doesn't seem as bad as some and I think I caught it pretty quick). My new med combo has definitely made a difference.

I suspect infection around june or july of last year, but I'm not sure.

I think I had lyme for 10 years prior to being diagnosed.

I treated for 3 years--2 years of lousy treatment and 1 year of great treatment.

It is now over 5 years since I completed my treatment and I am still symptom-free, enjoying my life--the same life I had before lyme disease.

I had lyme, babesiosis, and bartonella.

TF: if you have the time, would you mind listing what meds you were on during your 1 year of great treatment?

I know you followed Burrascano, but what combos of meds were you on and for how long?

Sorry for the request but I think it could help lots of us

thanks!!

I've read it many times: Flagyl, Amoxicillin, Levaquin, Bactrim DS and Art I believe. Not all at the same time. I remember TF said her old LLMDs did nothing more than push all the Lyme into cyst form due to poor protocols and not following Dr. B's guidelines.

42 years .. treated for 4 .. babesia and Lyme.

Took a lot of Biaxin and clindamycin/quinine. Also Ceftin, Doxy, zith and artemisnin, bactrim, minocycline...

and flagyl with anything that created cysts.

I know I'm leaving out many meds... but hey, it's been 5 1/2 yrs now!!

I have a write-up of my treatment, but won't post it on the public board. Just send me a private message if you want it.
