i can only speak from my perspective...but for those of us with CNS involvement any type of stimuli makes the symptoms worse....of course it also affects immune function but the stress response for me its 100X out of proportion to what it would be for me if i was healthy....but everyone is different.

- Stress hormones, especially cortisol are very caustic to the lining of our blood vessels and heart. High cortisol kills. It's like battery acid to nerve cells, when in excess.
Adrenal dysfunction can also be fatal. It's a very complex area of study.
Much more in previous threads. Search for "stress" in the subject line of medical.
Then also do a good Google Scholar search so that the commercials products are not so bogging down your search. "Stress hormones" would be a good start.

If stress is as harmful as Keebler described for us with Lyme, I'm a goner.

- We have to learn how to manage it, how to support our bodies. Treating infection is key (as is minimizing toxins), together with adrenal support and excellent self-care. It's a package deal.
Just giving up isn't going to help anything. We just need to learn how to best take care of ourselves. And that takes a lot of study and being proactive in learning new skills - for life. -
