There are so many great people on the website! I am so happy that I found this site at the beginning of my treatment!
I have my first LLMD appt. next Tuesday. I am so anxious/worried. Does anyone have any advice for a first time appt.?
I have filled out a ton off paperwork and a complete medical history...but what would be some good questions to ask for a newcomer??
Thanks so much!

- I hope your LLMD is ILADS-educated and will also assess for other tick-borne infections. Not all "ILADS-educated" LLMD practice exactly the same way but they should have a shared knowledge base.
Glad you are on track. If possible, you might turn that anxiety and worried into action and "assertive rest" - take a look at the links below, so that you will know the basics of self-care and the scope of treatment.
Look over the supplement list - Liver support is most important (Milk Thistle, NAC) and magnesium can ease many symptoms.
Be sure to get enough good rest before your appointment and if you need any adjustments there, just ask. If a light is irritating to you, it's not a personality thing but a brain thing. Try to avoid irritants. If you need to lie down, find a quiet corner, etc. Do all things to take the best care of your body as possible - where every you are.
As many sleep and pain meds can be hard on the kidneys or liver, there are certain supplements that can help in many cases. You can discuss this with your LLMD. Most are familiar with Turmeric and a few other basics. ---------------
