So after feeling fairly good for the past, um, I dunno, few months maybe, with just minor bumps here and there, the past few days I've been going steadily downhill.
I had to go to the doctor on Tuesday for a growth on my toe (posted about that in another thread), and my temperature at that time was 99. Very odd for me, but doc thought nothing of it (she's not a very lyme-friendly GP, so we don't talk about it)
THen for the past couple days my air hunger seems to have been getting steadily worse, and today I just feel "not right" in my chest.
Today my muscles also feel weird, not really hurting, not really weak, just not right.
Vision is crazy as always, and I seem to be off balance a lot.
Not sleeping very well; Wednesday night I slept from 11-12:30 then was awake till way after 4. Got awake when hubby woke up at 6 and never got back to sleep. Up this morning at 4.
Ugh, I just hate these stupid setbacks.
Still taking Doxy and Rifampin.

The air hunger sounds like babesia. Have you treated that at all? The meds you are on do not treat babs. You might also need a cyst buster. You need to kill the cysts so they don't come back.
Hope this helps

No, I'm not being treated for babs. I'm allergic to the abx they use, so I don't know what to do for that. Thinking of trying green tea extract; think I read that that's good for babs.

You might want to try artemisinin. Here is a thread on some experiences with it.

Yes...my daughter takes 3 artemisinin capsules a day. She never tested positive for Babs and never had the classic symptoms BUT this herb has really turned around tremendously.
Worth a try!

Thanks everyone.
Man, was this morning ever BAD!!!
Went to church, and as soon as I got into the sanctuary (big church, loud music, lighting), I started feeling weird.
I had been having the air hunger and heart palps, but every thing just went nuts there.
Started into a panic attack--at least that's what I think, as it felt like a heart attack--that came and went, and at one point I felt like I was losing consciousness.
It finally calmed down towards the end of the service, and almost as soon as we went out into the lobby the worst was over.
I'm okay now, except for really being tired and not tolerating my kids' noise and fussing at each other.
Argh, why now?

Artemsinin is an absolute must for you. Hit it hard if you can. I did 500 mg 3 times a day for 4 days (massive herx but nothing as bad as lyme) and followed it up with a mainanance dose of 300mg every morning and night.
See how you go and watch for night sweats particularly on your pillow. I seem to have to turn my pillow a couple of times a night when treating babs.
I find Vitacost.com Doctors Best Brand to be very effective and affordable. The whole herb form does nothing even at high doses. Must be the extract.
