My yeast herxes have also included brown deposits on my teeth (came off @ dentist) and ringing in my ears (I have yeast in my ears).
Do I get a gold star for bizarre yeast herxes...or...I am freaked out it could be "something bad" like c-diff.
Also just changed antifungals from Fungal Defense to Solaray Yeast Cleanse.
other possibilities:
A parasite?
The liver is detoxing?
Eating a lot of pecans? (yum)
I don't really have other symptoms...some gi pain, but I have that anyway. Some fatigue, but I have that anyway.
Have LLMD appt this week.

Saskat, I think I can stop you from freaking out. I used to have this problem and consulted a GI specialist for it.
He told me green stool almost always means you have a condition called "rapid transit of the bowel". Sounds like a bus company, doesn't it?
It just means your food is going through you so fast that the bile, which causes that green color, has not had time to be reabsorbed, which normally happens while it slowly moves through the colon.
This is not dangerous, but could result in your not absorbing some nutrients if it happens all the time over a long period.
I had it for years without any dire consequences, and it only ended when I had to start taking a heart drug that was very constipating.
There is an expensive test involving a large dose of radiation to confirm this, where you swallow barium and they take x-rays every couple of hours all day long to see how far it's moved and how fast.
I prefer the low tech test, which works just as well and you can do it at home! Just eat some corn and do not chew it well. Corn is notoriously hard to digest. Note when you ate it and watch for it to come out the other end so you can see how long it takes.
Normal transit time is 24-36 hours. Mine was only 12 hours.
If IBS were the cause, I'd suggest a drug called Librax, which is very helpful in calming down overzealous bowel cramps.
But, in your case, I think your body is just trying to get rid of the yeast, and yeast overgrowth tends to cause diarrhea anyway.
Unless it is really severe and causing other symptoms, just make sure you drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, since much water is lost through having diarrhea.
And, of course, tell your LLMD this is happening. If he disagrees with what I just said, please post about it, since I would like to know if I am wrong.

I have a similar thing going on, but I blamed it on the chlorella. I wonder if things were moving slower if the body could remove the green from the chlorella, or if everybody gets green results from taking this supplement?

Thanks for the insights. I'm breathing easier. If a person has the "rapid transit" issue, would they eliminate more frequently? I'm still "on schedule."
Hm, haven't been eating blueberries, but will keep an eye out for that in the future.
I'm not taking chlorella right now, either. I tried it a few years ago (pre-dx), and didn't have the "green" problem. I didn't take it for very long, though. Maybe a couple of weeks.
I'll report back on what the dr says.

I had this happen once because I ate popcorn with a ton of Butter on it. It was an isolated incident that never happened again.
Some gallbladder flushes use oil to activate the bile and this is what likely caused the green stool in this case.
I am sure there are many reasons this could happen. This is just one of two I know of.
It is always quite shocking, except in an infant. I have seen a rainbow of colors in baby poop.

I had this too- shocking. It ended when I got Flagyl for amoebas and it put my undiagnosed chronic Lyme into remission (briefly) as well. Doctor had no clue what caused this at the time.

My kids would get green stools if they ate something blue- like a popsicle or "blue" drink.
When they went to Grandma's, I could be sure she gave them junk if they pooped green the next day!

I used to take tons of chlorella for detox when I was on the Cowden Protocol and it never caused this problem, because by then I was on the constipating heart drug (verapamil), which counteracted the problem.
It takes time for bile to be absorbed from the colon, and if things move too fast, there won't be time and it comes out still bile green in color.
I've never had trouble with blue foods....very interesting.
