Hello.

I did a search on probiotics, so I apologize if this has been answered a million times and I missed it. [Smile]

My original LLMD advised that I take 2 probiotic pills (iFlora) at bedtime every night.

My new LLMD suggests taking 1 pill earlier in the day and another pill around bedtime.

Is there an advantage to doing this one way over the other?

Does it matter since, either way, I'm taking 2 pills a day?

Any advice is appreciated! Thanks so much!

My family takes their pro-biotics 2 hours after each dose of abx. The abx are taken 2x per day. The probiotics are taken to replace the bacteria after that dies from the abx.

I've been taking the probiotics before bedtime each night.

I'm just wondering if it's better to take after each abx dose (2 hours after each).

It may not matter so long as you take it daily (I'm guessing).

Thanks.

It would probably be better to take the probiotics 2hrs after each dose of antibiotics. To help replenish the gut flora more regularly. I find it difficult to do this especially when trying to take supplements aways from antibiotics too. It is easiest for me to remember to take my probiotics before bed so that's what I do.
