I'm day 8 on this new protocol. I have added one dose of Avelox oral for two days only out of the week. Really strong reaction...wonder if it's herxing or just side effects from the abx. It's worth it if it's herxing but if not, yuk!

Racing heart, shakey, ...

ekks.. I took Avelox years ago for the PICC line infection I developed.

I had a tough time with the side effects and needed to switch to a different abx. I do not think mine was a herx at all but rather some nasty side effects.

Strong drug and I THINK it might be Sulfa based?

Be very careful with fluoroquinolones.

I didn't listen to my body and became much, much, much, worse for many months. "Mentally" debilitated.

Perhaps still suffering, but I would like to think it's something else.
