I have chronic LD. The disease that the IDSA says doesn't exist. My Doc tells me i have chronic LD & I have been taking abx off & on ( mostly on) for 5 years.
I have read several places that chronic LD probably requires "maintenance abx"----forever.
Is anyone else in this situation? If my doc is right, there must be others with "chronic LD" that require "maintenance abx.
Any help/info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The doc is the key to getting rid of this disease.
When my second lyme doc told me it looked like I was just going to be one of those people who had to stay on antibiotics for life, I left him and found a doc who followed the Burrascano lyme treatment guidelines.
One year of treatment later, I was rid of my diseases. That was 5 years ago and I am still rid of them, no meds, no symptoms.
I had undiagnosed lyme, babesiosis and bartonella for 10 years before a doctor finally figured out what was wrong with me.
The doc is the key.
