Hello.

I know that this question has been asked before on here but wanted to see the latest feedback.

I have 4 amalgam fillings plus a worn down Porcelin fused to metal (in this case, the metal is nickel) crown that is very worn down.

Should I have them removed before starting treatment?

I have not been tested or gotten a diagnosis for lyme or co-infections.

Just wanted to see what folks have been told by there LLMD's as to the right course of action.

Did a search and got some mixed ideas.

Please let me know what your experience has been. Thank you.

My LLMD is ok with me removing them during treatment.

I have about 16

If I had 4, I would remove them asap

Multiple docs, negative Labcorp test
LLMD: 1/10
Positive Igenex/CDC test
Treatment 2/10
2/10-8/10 Amox, ceftin, zith, flagyl
Currently: Bicillin, Minocycline, still dealing with severe breathing issues

Jeff I have 4 too. And Dr. B says we are going to do one or two at a time to see how I do. One is broken and I have no choice. I use to have 16 by the time I was 18. Braces was the culprit.

I removed 2 during treatment.

I did it at a Bio-Dentist

Hi Jeff - I had 4 amalgams removed by a holistic dentist. Absolutely, Get them out!

Go to a dentist that uses a dam in your mouth to catch the old fillings and an oxygen mask for you to breathe through.

Mercury and lyme go hand in hand. I believe you must get rid of the amalgams to fully treat the Lyme.

Dr. K insists that all of his new patients have their amalgams out before he treats them.

thanks everyone. i think i'll get them out first seeing a bio-dentist.

any advice on chelating the mercury out of my system (dmps? suppliments? etc...)

would also be very much appreciated...
