Hi everyone...I just wanted to remind you all how strong you are for dealing with Lyme etc day in and day out.
I don't think we hear that often enough. I was just reminded of that today from someone who lost their brother to Lyme Disease last month.
My sister called me today and said that a couple of months ago a friend of hers said that her brother had been sick for a while and that he just found out that he had Lyme Disease.
Well my sister saw her friend again yesterday and she told my sister that her brother passed away last month. Just one month after finding out he had Lyme Disease he took his own life.
He had a wife and 3 young kids.
My sister's friend knew that I was sick as well and also had Lyme. So yesterday she told my sister to tell me how strong I am and how great it is that I am still fighting.
I was so touched by that. I never met my sisters friend or her brother but I felt like I should pass that message along to all of you as well...in honor of her brother.
She probably wishes that someone had told her brother that while he was still alive (it sounds like he didn't have a lot of support).
So I just wanted to say that everyone here is strong and should be proud of how hard they have fought this disease.
With all of the negativity surrounding Lyme I think we all need to hear that every once in a while.
Take Care! Pam

We need to hear this every day, maybe 500 times.

I'm sorry about your sister's friend's loss. It's always tough to hear about someone who gave up.
I was at the point where I prayed that God would take me, but never thought about taking my own life. I'm well today. What you say is true, we are all stronger than we know.
