My son took it 20 years ago (when he was 10 yrs old) for severe OCD. I do not remember the dose, but it was kind-of experimental for someone his age. Apparently the dosage ended up being way too much and he had a grand-mal seizure. This was a direct result of the medication. He, therefore, was required to discontinue. It was unfortunate, because it really did help him quite a bit with the OCD.

A word of caution--it affects the immune system in "unknown ways," I've read, and I found that it gave me horrible withdrawal symptoms when I was coming off of it. Electric shock sensations, hallucinations before falling asleep/night terrors--don't know if it was technically seizure activity, but it was pretty creepy, whatever it was.
