How do people feel about there being any accuracy about the appearance of one's tongue being an indicator of health? There's some obvious indicators, like the white coating possible being from candida, but tongue analysis goes further than that.
For example, my tongue tends to be more red in color -- possible sign of overheating in the body -- and my groove down the middle of my tongue is pronounced. I can't help but look at someone who I would consider healthy and see that their tongue is pink and hydrated and supple.
Of course, I never get any comments from my regular docs or my dentist about the appearance of my tongue, so I assume that conventional medicine doesn't believe in tongue analysis unless there is a glaring symptom.

I have always wondered about this.
I have no idea what the connection is but when I feel great my tongue is nice and pink/red.
When I feel lousy my tongue is white. I know that it can be related to yeast but even before I was on massive doses of abx (no yeast), I was like this.

A TCM practitioner would know all about this...do a search for a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner in your area.
