I was bit in 1992, treated with abx - then never thought about it until I had to have an emergency hysterctomy in 1994. I never recovered from that, forgot about the Lyme. Started going from dr to dr, test after test because I was experiencing pain in my legs, felt like I had the flu, it was awful. I was bedridden for seven years at one point - oh that's right it was fibro....
I have been going down hill ever since. Just this May, 18 years after being bitten - I started to question things; like this can't all be from Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia or all the other things that come with it.
Had my PCP run a Western Blot... surprise negative. Started doing major research, found another doctor this time LLMD. He ran it (WB)and put me on just 5 days abx. I still felt like crap, can't work, can't do much of anything.
I finally asked for a CD57 test, yesterday I got the results and my number is 41. That's when my LLMD said you need to come in and we need to do something. (really?)
I'm thrilled that finally I am being taken seriously and going to get treatment.
My question; Has anyone ever gone to see Dr. M in California? Did he help you with the Lyme?
Just thought I would see if anyone had been his patient and how they liked the way they were treated for their Lyme Disease.
Thank you in advance...

Most LLMD's treat based on symptoms not tests, so I'm surprised an LLMD would deny you treatment based on a WB being negative. Lyme is a clinical diagnosis.
I'm glad you're getting treatment. I hope someone can answer questions regarding your LLMD (but details need to be by PM).

I hope the DR M is a different dr from the one who left you hanging with only 5 days of abx!! Please tell me this is a different person, because the first dr was not an LLMD.
