I sure feel for you. It is miserable to feel that way. If there were a way to fix this instantly it would be a dream come true for many.

You may just have to muddle through it.. or don't go and still be miserable at home.

Not much of a choice!

I don't know if your problems are caused by the disease or herxing?

I can NOT recommend this at all.. and don't do anything like it unless cleared by your doctor...

But what some of us (long time chronic patients) do once in a while... if we know we have to go somewhere...

We back off antibiotics before going so we aren't feeling so awful and we set our trips to be between herxes if possible.

I do hope you can enjoy some of your trip.

Good luck!

Have you ever tried CBT/ERP therapy for your OCD? It is not a quick fix, but it was effective for one of my daughter's obsessions.

We are probably about to do it for another one of them. The ones she has worked on went away and haven't come back.

I see that you are on zith. I feel like my daughter's OCD flares up when she is taking zith.

I have been on Risperdal(an antipsychotic) for almost 2 weeks for a lyme induced mood disorder. It has already gotten rid of my obsessive thoughts. Also my anxiety level is about 40% better, depression is about 60% better. This pysch med is the best one I have ever tried!

I do still take Xanax, but the reduction in anxiety and obsessive thoughts really kicked in once I started Risperdal.

My mood swings are still here, but have become much less severe in just 2 weeks.

I think you just have to keep trying different psych meds to find the one that works for you.

Good thing about Risperdal is that it doesn't take but a couple of weeks to know if it is going to work for you or not.

You might ask you LLMD about it!

I personally think it is important to treat the brain issues along with the lyme treatment. For some people, the brain can recieve damage and if not treated can become permanent.
