Hello everyone I have been having symptoms for 2 years and have seen multiple doctors finally I had a western blot test done and shows that P23 is present

from what I understand this can only be caused by bb the lyme bacteria?

any advise would be helpfull

all other panels were negative

thanks

Paul

Clinical Labortory Partners

I have had symptoms of chest pain. pain in the left arm leg side of kneck , back . when pain is in one spot it is not in another some times feel ok other times have pain moves around a lot.

almost thought I had fibromilaga for a while. was tested for lymes over a year ago but wasnt even the blot so my primary doctory said I was good.

a naturalpathic physcian had me do the western blot because of my symptoms and

p23 is Present which as far as I can tell is only caused by bb lymes even though the lab want to see 2 to call it a positive. this p23 is in the IgM test

I am going to arange to see a Lymes specialist Asap

Paul

thanks I've looked at this already. I am just a little nervous because I just got my lab back today in the mail.. and trying to do as much research as possible I will be seeing a specialist asap.

please tell me how you feel after treatment? you had this for 20 years? did they get rid of it or is it chronic? did you do long term antibiotics? is it true I will get worse before I feel better?

thanks

Paul

I did long term antibiotics then stopped for an alternative treatment in Germany. I was in treatment for a total of 3 years. I am completely well today.

You need to look at all aspects, killing bugs, detoxifying the body, rebuilding health with exercise, diet, and sunshine. All around health is as important as killing the bacteria because in the end, your immune system has to keep you healthy.

other than the pain I am in pretty good physical condition

my muscle have become weaker only in the past year or so before that I was doing some weight training. I am 39 and I do cardio twice a week and swimming and my weight is normal.

I left my job 6 months ago to minimize stress and I work from home.

so I am optimistic that the treatment will help.

my naturalpathic says he has a treatment that prevents the lyme from coming back after the initial antibiotic treatment. do you mind if I ask the treatment you had in Germany?

sixgoofykids,
I am also interested in the treatment you had in Germany. They seem to be a little more into diagnosing Lyme appropriately in Europe, as they match your test results 2 wild strains of Lyme in addition to the laboratory one. In the US, they only match your tests results with the laboratory strain. If you don't mind sharing some info, it would be most helpful. Thank you.

In my blog listed below, I talk about the German treatment starting in Oct. 2008. It was the Bionic 880, an infrared light treatment along with nosodes.

Sorry to leave you hanging. No, I had lyme for 42 yrs before I was diagnosed. In between that time I was dxd with FM. It's now 52 yrs and I am doing very well.

I've been off abx for nearly 6 yrs now.

Yes, you will feel worse before you feel better. But you must do it or you will suffer as many years as I have.

I hope you are not seeing an Infectious Disease doctor!!
