I have been ill for going on 2.5 years it came on suddenly after

being a very healthy person. I did find a tick on me around that

time but it was only on for 5 hours max. I became sick within the

month and by 3 months was spending most days in bed. I went

to close to 15 doctors, spent over $25,000 on a spine surgery I

did not need before I came to the diagnosis of lyme. I have had

the elisa and never tested positive but did have a positive Bart

test. I have been in treatment for over 17 months and made a lot

of progress the first 6 months.

Then I became unexpectedly pregnant, I had symptoms

throughout the pregnancy but still remained improved but have

relapsed since my daughter was born. I have been trying to think

of other reasons why I could be sick because although I believe I

have lyme I don't know for sure, so I can't help but wondering if

it could be something else.

Which brought me to start researching saline breast implants

(which I have had for almost 9 years) I found many articles on

them growing mold and becoming toxic. Could this be the cause

of my illness? Could the Bartonella have lowered my immune

system and now the mold is also contributing? Has anyone heard

of this and is there a way to get tested for this?

I know its off topic but I am desperate and am grasping at

anything that could possibly be causing my illness. I thought

maybe the antibiotic could possibly clear up the toxins from the

mold which is why I saw improvement.

Very long post but very desperate, thanks for reading.

People with Lyme often become more sensitive to mold, chemicals, etc., so while you might find out that mold is causing some symptoms for you, that would not eliminate Lyme as a possibility.

With a known tick bite and a positive bart test, you definitely have some kind of tick-borne disease(s) going on.

Good luck and I hope you find some answers.

It's my understanding that they should be replaced every 10 years, so you might want to consider having them removed. There's new surgery they're doing to tighten up the inner muscles and that can make a huge difference in the outcome of the appearance.

Not sure if that is your problem, but sometimes it's better to be safe. You can also get tested for mold sensitivity through an LLND.

As you have proven, it only takes a few minutes to a few hours to transmit Lyme from a tick. Ignore websites that say it has to be 24 or 48 hours. Do you think the tick is counting the minutes or hours? [Wink]

Please find an LLMD near you so you can get well! Your family needs you!!
