It seems when I am off of meds and only on Bicillin
shots, my neuropathy goes away. But as soon as I
added mepron and zith, it was back. Are these
known to cause neuropathy. I do not want to
risk any long term damage if this is the case.
Could it also be that this is a herx to Mepron?
What I don't get is that as the mepron moves out
of my system, the neuropathy gets better.
Any feedback would help.

My doctor has told me that Mepron can cause neuropathy. He only has people on it for 3 weeks at a time.
I have not seen it on the side effects on the medicine nor do I hear people talk about it on here.
How long have you been on Mepron? I had the tingles and swelling after taking it for a while but I think that there is probably another reason for my tingles. I'm not sure.
I'm interested to see if there will be replies.

Thanks Haley. That is interesting about what your
doc told you. I have been on it before for 7
months pulsed (two weeks on, two weeks off MWF)
I handled it much better on the pulse and I
wrapped up that pulse last October. Fast forward
to August, started with a new doc. Have had
neuropathy with meds like Flagyl- asked to be
taken off even when pulsed. So foot pain and
neuropathy began pretty soon in with treatment
have recently gotten much worse. As of late,
When I was only on Bicillin shots and prior on a
drug holiday between docs, -- it was MUCH
reduced almost gone.
My thought is that I could be herxing too... That
is why I wanted some feedback- Also with zith added- the first of the series, the neuropathy intensified. Any help here would be great!
