Is 200mg twice a day of doxycline a large dose for someone who weighs 100 pounds? I want to insist on that dose to ID MD tomorrow but I don't want to sicken myself. I was nauseated taking 100mg.

I would skip the ID doctor and go to an LLMD. I wasted my time with 2 ID doctors. They adhere to IDSA guidelines.

Everyone needs at least 400 mg doxy in order to kill the spirochetes.
Are you eating (plenty) when you take it??

Everything I've read says you need that much in order for it to be therapeutic/effective. Undertreatment is all too common. I trust the LLMDs on this. Also, I agree, you definitely need a LLMD. It is probably the most important decision you can make in steering yourself back to health. Wishing you well, Tammy

That is the right dose for someone weighing 100 lbs. I wasn't far from that weight when I was treated for lyme and coinfections.
I'll be very surprised if you can get the doc to write the prescription for 400 mg per day.
Be sure to stay out of the sun totally, and wear gloves on hands while driving. You don't want the very nasty doxy burn.
