Has anyone tried these and if so how did you respond ?

LLMD says if you get a "flare" after taking the A-Bart it is a good indicator that you have Bartonella.

I've tried a couple of them (*lyme and babesia formulas) and I know two people who have also tried these (one was my boyfriend, one is a close friend, with both of whom I've compared notes on Lyme and babesia). In none of our cases did we get much of a 'flareup' like you'd get with antibiotics. I think my LLMD also had another friend of mine with unconfirmed Lyme try one of the coinfection formulas, with no visible result (but we don't know what that person actually has in addition to some Lyme bands). I don't think it's a reliable diagnostic after comparing notes with a few of these folks.

My impression is that since we don't know what's in the formulas or what it supposedly targets (this stuff was developed in my California LLMD's office while I was being treated herbally (*Buhner herbs) there, and I don't even have any inside info on it), it's not a treatment that I'd really hang major hopes on- we don't know what it interacts with, what the contraindications are, as just two examples of problems I see with the 'secret formula' approach). My LLMd's office used to say that they got really good results with these formulas but I haven't heard of ANY confirmation of this other than what my LLMD told me. I would think that by now we'd have heard more from California Lyme patients if it really was the silver bullet.

Also, I have a lot of trouble seeing how anything at such low doses could be effective.

I am also takin A-Bart. I'm up to 12 drops 2x daily with nothing. No herx. I was kinda hoping I would because My LLMD also said if you herx then you know for sure you have Bart. It would just be nice to know for sure instead of a maybe due to symptoms. My LLMD also gave me several print outs regarding the A-Bart, what was in it, adverse reactions. He seemed very hopeful that this was a very good thing. I don't know if this is a herx but last week my glands in my throught were hurting quite a bit. They seem better now though.

My LLMD is in the office. He put me on A=Bab in the very beginning of treatment. It was more as a diagnostic tool to see if I responded.

I didn't think I was but once I stopped it, I got sicker. Then I knew it was helping something. I think these herbals are good as they are compilations of many herbs together. If you are going an alternative route, I recommend them.

Can you take these products whilst you are on antibiotics, or do you need to stop?

Same question as Annelet: Can they be taken while on abx?

I'm about to add herbals into my child's protocol so am researching Buhner's, this, etc.

Thanks.

I took them on abx, but, I can tolerate a LOT of meds at one time and some others can't. Start slow, like everything else.

This link may be useful too
http://www.bioresourceinc.com/downloads/bwherbal/Teleclass%205_12_10%20-%20Intro%20to%20BWFs.pdf

Plus the teleclasses are informative on the bioresource website. There are a few case studies and a more indepth explanation as to how the BW remedies work.

My 13 year old son is just starting A-Bart, one drop every 10 days- we shall see what happens.
