Feeling horrible right now.

Started getting a headache this afternoon, and it quickly progressed into eye pain and nausea/dizziness, almost like carsickness.

Even after several doses of aspirin (sorry, Tylenol is worthless to me), I still have horrible headaches and really feel rappy.

Trying to figure out what's going on. LLMD reduced my meds by half (Doxy and Rifampin) 2 weeks ago--he wanted me to do that to see if it made any difference on the babesia test I'll be doing this week.

So that could be it, but also this morning at church, they had the sound system so loud I had to go the whole way through worship with my hands over my ears. I wasn't in there 20 minutes, and I started getting a vibrating feeling down my neck and into my chest, like I was having wither heart issues or anxiety.

The last time I had headaches like this was when LLMD had switched me over to amoxycillin.

Any ideas? I'm miserable.

Ugh, suddenly feel like I'm going to start vomiting. Please tell me this isn't some new lyme thing.

I've been having migraines, too. I don't know why. It feels like I have a whole body migraine... could be stress, the hot weather, hormones, light, toxins, or something else.

I take Excedrin. They seem to work somewhat OK. I also take a 1/2 of a 5mg oxycodone for the body pain. I had a script for Relpax & they just knocked me out & didn't get rid of the pain.

Caffeine is supposed to be helpful. That's why the Excedrin are good sometimes. They have aspirin, acetometaphan & caffeine. You may want to take them with some NAC to protect the liver...

It may not be Lyme related. Some people just get them.

PS - Stay away from MSG or fake sugar. MSG always gives me a migraine. Sometimes it's in food & you don't know...

Ginger is good for nausea. Some brothy soup, crackers &/or ginger ale may help. Best to make some ginger tea but if your head hurts - it's hard to do anything.

Headache is gone, but I was up half the night trying not to throw up. Wondering if it's another round of stomach bug. Just had it 3 weeks ago.

I had a reaction similar to what you are describing recently, and I have a few theories. 1) I spent time around 2 people who were battling a cold/flu. 2) It was the day I had increased my salt intake (intentionally) and zinc intake, to boost adrenal function. Although salt does boost the adrenals and is recommended for sluggish function by many doctors, I have also read that this can mess up the imbalance of other minerals in the body. 3) On the other hand, it could have been a reaction to such improved body function that it produced a die off reaction from the bacteria, like a herx. People use salt/C quite frequently to kill Lyme. 4)It is common with one of the co-infections, or maybe even Lyme in general, to have pain behind the eyes with a headache.

Mine went away in a day after stopping the salt and excess zinc. Hope this helps.

Starfall- I get horrific headaches that sometimes last for days... I have had them for years, but as I got older they intensified.

I have tried most everything over the counter and most things don't touch it. Sometimes Aleve will help, but the thing that I have found recently that helps the most is Turmeric. You can buy it in caplet form. And it has the same properties as Aleve but without the toxic stuff.

You can google it and look at the medicinal properties. If memory serves me correctly, Turmeric & Ginger are closely related. Turmeric is also anti-inflamatory.

I do recall that Ginger is also used for muti-purpose. I have some Ginger caplets but have not used it yet. So I can't personally recommend the caplets but have heard good things about Ginger as well. And have had Ginger tea, it does sooth stomach nausea.

Turmeric has helped me with my headaches. Most of the time they don't completely go away but it at least gives me some relief.

Hope you feel better.

Starfall,

ARe you being treated for bart? I have bart bad and those are always the symtoms when it comes back. Severe headache, nausea, eye pain. Also, I can sympathize with you about the pain from sound.

The pain actually travels from my ears to my entire body. This has definitely gotten better with treatment. I'm on my third round of treating bart. This time it's IV rifampin-Let's hope the third one is the charm.

Hope this helps. Also, when I treated before, the rifampin actually gave me the headaches and would clear immediately after I went off it. Avelox works also for bart but you have to watch out for tendon rupture.

Good luck
