I have worked my way up to 300 mg 3x/day over a period of nearly 5 months. I do not take it alone and would not recommend doing so for 2 reasons. First, it will not get the job done when used alone. Second, this failure allows the parasite time for simple gene mutations which will forever render this herb derived anti-malarial med to be useless for you. Others including myself have taken Artemisinin with, zith, clarith, doxy, bactrim, levoquin etc.

Ideas not advice.

Beach makes a good point. I on the other hand find 500 mg 3 days on 3 days off to be best for me. I also take it with levaquin mino and rifampin.

I never have to build up malaria meds. I like to hit it hard as I do not herx badly from them. I just sweat alot at night and get sleepy spells.

Art is better than malarone for me. I will add bactrim for a while soon.
