I'm on Preservative-Free, Hydroxycobalamin. I get it and the syringes from Wellness Pharmacy in Birmingham, Alabama.
It comes in cute, little individual-dose vials. Great customer service and very helpful at that place.

WC, do you prefer the oral vs injections? If so which one, there were so many to choose from! I also noted that one needs doctors approval.
FS, does your LLMD need to Rx this for you? How did you find this place and how did you know what brand/method is best? I am trying to learn as much as I can about all my options! mystery, yes, a doctor needs to RX this for you. Injectable B12 requires a prescription in the US.
I found Wellness Pharmacy via word-of-mouth. Some friends who are parents of an autistic child recommended them. Evidently this pharmacy (along with the Fallon pharmacy in NY that WC uses) are very highly regarded in the Autistic community, as well as the Heavy Metal Toxicity community and many other "communities" that comprise chronically ill patients.
Also, some of my doctors have recommended this pharmacy to me in the past.
I'm on the Hydroxy form because that is what my doctors wanted me on -- a few of my medical doctors are also certified nutritional therapists and I guess they felt that my particular medical situation required the Hydroxy form rather than the Methyl form of B12.
I use BD Insulin Syringes. These are the BD Ultra-Fine Short Needle, 31 gauge, 1cc capacity. They are thin and short and they are not painful for me. I have to give myself lots of different injections and the B12 injection is the easiest.
If the B12 injections are prescribed to be given "SubQ" (subqutaneously), then just a short needle syringe is needed. This is given in the hip, using the aim and stab method. Very easy.
If the B12 injections are prescribed to be given "IM" (intramuscularly), then a longer needle syringe is needed. These injections can be given in the arm muscle, thigh muscle, etc.
For me, the SubQ method has worked well.

My doctor wrote the script. I had a lot of trouble finding the methyl b12. It is specially compounded. I ended up contacting my llmd and got a list of compounding pharmacies. I called around to get prices. That is how I got to the pharmacy in Georgia!

My llmd has me taking methyl folic acid or deplin with it. Somehow they go hand in hand.

Great suggestions guys! I am going to look into this for sure!
I see an accupuncturist but he charges $25 a shot and I am sure it doesn't last very long. Although I must say for the first two days I feel like a little kid with energy, can't remember last time I felt like that, lol!
I think this will be a more cost efficient method, I'm thinking around $30-40 for a months supply.
