IgM
31 kDa IND
41 kDa +
83-93 kDa IND

IgG
30 kDa +
34 kDa IND
39 kDa IND
41 kDa +++

All other testing including co-infections negative. Current symptoms really only include "swimmy head" foggy feeling at times. Head and neck soreness has almost disappeared and fatigue is much improved. Most symptoms appeared a few days into the doxycycline course and have diminished significantly or disappeared. It has been 3 weeks of 400mg of doxy (2 weeks prior at 200mg). Doc thinks this is a good sign on the road to recovery. Added Flagyl 500 mg 3x/wk for 1 month and andrographis just to keep the momentum going. Thoughts on test results, symptoms and treatment?

Well, "IND" means a weak positive and bands 39, as well as 83-93 are extremely important Lyme specific bands. Bands 30 and 31 are pretty important too!

So to me, there is no doubt you have lyme... IF that was in question for you.

How long ago were you bitten?

I think you're in good hands!

Your test looks a lot more postive than mine.
I had only
IgM, 34 IND & 41 +
IgG, 31 IND, 41 +, 45+, 58+

I'm also doing much better after 8 weeks on Doxy, adding Flagyl slowly. Only thing holding me back now is my arms hurting more.........

Glad you are better!

Your IgG is the same as my daughters. Not positive by CDC or IGenex standards BUT 30, 31, 34, 39 are all babesia specific, 41 which typically shows up first is flagella (the strand what moves a spirochete) and indicates a spirochete bacteria.

I believe NC is now considered edemic for Lyme.

Do you remember a tick, rash or flu like symptoms within a few weeks of a tick bite?

A LLMD would diagnose by symptoms and consider this positive confirmation.

My daughter also tested negative for Babesia but has all the symptoms.

Now you should keep a diary of symptoms and treatments.

Also read Dr. B's Advanced Topics in Lyme.

How are Lyme bands specific for babesia? My complete co-infection panel was negative and the md felt confident with those results based on my current symptoms and response to doxy so far. I was bitten on 5/3/10 and had no rash. Started doxy 200mg 7/28/10 and upped to 400mg 8/13/10 to present. Will add the flagyl 3x/wk after the weekend.

They have nothing to do with babesia.

You have good reason to believe you will be fully recovered!
