I have been eating corn Chips...organic, but still corn chips nevertheless...is this not good? Is corn in general bad? I have cut flour out of my diet, and I really do not miss it. I feel much better, and I have lost weight. I also cut out sugar. However I still eat a fair amount of fruit, and veggies. these contain sugar. While the suggestion is to cut out all carbs and sugar, I can't help disagreeing, as our bodies NEED sugar and carbs. Fruit is a healthfood. So what is the deal? IS corn bad? Fruit too? I can't see the total absence of fruit and carbs as a good thing, no matter how many extra bugs it kills.....

I wish I knew a good answer for your question. Every time I eat fruit, I get yeast. It's always lurking, so even things like corn chips are out of the question for me. If they don't give you a problem, maybe a little bit isn't too bad.
Corn has quite a bit of sugar in it, though, and sugar feeds bacteria, so what I've been told is to avoid it. I was eating a little brown rice on the advice of my LLMD since, like you, I've lost more weight than is optimal. But I've read that rice has sugar in it too. And carbs are converted into sugar in our bodies anyway so that's why, if we want to avoid providing a good environment for pathogens, it's best to avoid them.
What I do best with is lentils and pinto beans, green beans and other higher-carb but low sugar vegetables - just a little bit.
I do not understand how anyone following Dr. B's food recommendations maintains their weight. I'm looking forward to seeing what knowledgeable people write in answer to your questions.

When people use the general term "carbs" they don't mean fruits and vegetables. They might mean high sugar fruits, but like you, I think fruits are healthy unless you have a candida problem. I stuck to things like berries, which are low in sugar.
I ate a lot of corn chips (still do, but I'm health now). Blue corn chips are easier to digest according to The Body Ecology Diet. I eat healthy corn chips, made with good oils, organic corn, and sea salt.
I was incapable of eating the "Lyme diet" without feeling absolutely horrible. I think we all need to listen to our bodies. What is bad for some is good for others. If you're eating healthy and your body is doing well, you're doing fine.
