Is activated charcoal hard on ones system, or cause a reaction, like when you detox the liver? I know that with some people, especially really toxic (like myself) a liver cleanse can make you feel pretty bad. Is that the case with these pills, or no?

I don't know. I never had a reaction to it.

I use it for diarrhea and intestinal gas. So, it can cause constipation. Also, it will cause black stools.

Don't know if it cleanses the liver.

activated charcoal always makes me feel better, it binds stuff so take away from supplements or medications

it can sometimes lessen a bad herx
you can open the capsule in some water to better absorb but try a small dose first

No, it won't make you feel worse. It only absorbs what's in the intestines, it's not pulling new stuff out.

Just make sure to stay regular and not to take it if you are constipated.

Otherwise I think it's pretty safe. Works well for me - especially if I drink lemon water.

Can you take activated charcoal with food? My LLNP told me to take it 2 hours before and after food, supps, meds etc.

I also take clonazepam at bed and am wondering if I need to take the charcoal two hours before the clonazepam.

Hard to space all these meds out correctly!!
