I am getting ready to start IV clindamycin on Monday. I have been off all antibiotics for almost a week for my break. I am pulsing antibiotics.
while on break, I began fighting yeast and today started diflucan. My LLMD said to take it for 3 days, so I will be done with the 3rd pill on Sunday.
I have heard that diflucan basically cancels out saccro-B, but I have also heard that you can take saccro-B 2 hours or away from diflucan and still get the benefit. I am taking it anyway just in case.
Should I load up on Monday on saccro-B since I will be done with diflucan and will be starting clindamycin? How much can I take? My LLMD recommends 2x's per day, but is it harmful to take more that?
I am so worried about getting c.diff infection. Anything else I can do to prepare??

I think loading up on Monday would be a good idea... I can't remember, but doesn't Diflucan last a little while, so that you might want to wait another day???
I would believe Wild Condor who says it will kill out Diflucan even if you take it 2 hrs apart.
I would also recommend you take the amount that it says on the bottle. I believe you COULD get too much if you take more.
