I am usually a little nervous in the morning, but after 3 I am pure racy. I have a heart murmur now too. I have these crazy irregular beating in my chest in the evening. Severe panic !
I am afraid to do this stress test because I am afraid I will have a heart attack. Not sure if the cardiologist knows anything about Lyme disease.
Please help

Why not push for a Holter Monitor instead? The cardiologist really doesn't have to know about Lyme disease... he is an expert on the heart and that is what you need.
That said, I personally hate the stress test! If I'm not mistaken, it is more for checking for blocked arteries than irregular heart beats.
(your dr is going to hate me)
I would get a Holter and an echo. Then follow with a stress test if you have to.
Did you google it?

Yeah found some scary stuff about people having heart attacks during the stress test. I am a smoker and want to quit as soon as I can get past this nervousness and sever panic
Not sure I could quit right now in fear it would put me over the edge.

I survived the Echo cardiogram and stress test, now we wait for the results. Anxiously, of course.

I agree with Lymetoo. Holter monitor would've been a good place to start, but since you already made it through, good for you.
I just had a stress echo recently and the technician told me that in 11 years, she's never seen anyone die during a stress test. Although it doesn't give as much info, the stress echo is safer than the nuclear stress test because you're not feeding the body chemicals that it has to detox. We already have enough to worry about with that. Not to mention the radiation exposure.
You may also want to see if magnesium supplementation helps. Ask the doc about that. Lyme depletes magnesium which can often contribute to heartbeat irregularities.

Fflutterby, anxiety and panic attacks and irregular heartbeat are symptoms of low magnesium.

I was able to get through last week, with minimal meds. Call from Cardiologist. I did well. He says my hear is healthy. Haven't had as much anxiety since last week, thank God.
My Ultra-Mag is on the way too.
