Hi Everyone,

I was going along with treatment and everything was going great. Joint pains were pretty much gone and the other weird symthoms had gone away. Then out of the blue I starter to have this weird feeling in my right ear. I think some folks refer to it as ear fullness. Then my right eye also starter to hurt but only for a day or 2.

Now I am also getting headaches everyday. Actually 24 / 7. For a few days I thought it could be tmj but my jaw is not really cracking so I am not sure if it is that...

My LLMD thinks it is an inner ear infection and stopped the abs from some other stronger ones for 10 day. This not helping however and I really going nuts.

Has anyone experience this before. Going to 2 weeks of this now.

Hi. Did you see the thread about ear stuffiness? The ear fullness you describe sounds like that. You could be having TMJ issues even without jaw cracking. Do you have a history of TMJ? I have had decades of TMJ issues, mostly on the right. It can cause ear symptoms and headaches, including eye and nasal pain, and neck pain. You might want to try alternating warm and cold compresses on that side by your jaw to see if it helps. There are also pressure points inside the mouth that can help alleviate head pain caused from TMJ. I do not know if the ear stuffiness is a symptom of TMJ or not.

I hope this goes away soon. It sounds like you were doing very well until this came along.

Be sure you have good liver support as some abx can be hard on the ears.

In addition to INEBG's advice, also do some gentle exercise so that you can move your lymph system to get the gunk moving on out. Yoga, Tai Chi or Qi Gong exercises are good.

A professional massage would also be good, with attention to the neck.

MAGNESIUM is the best thing to consider and that will help if TMJ is part of this. TMJ is much more than if the jaw pops but the ears usually take a hit with lyme. Things to help in the thread below.

Humming is good, too. Yawning. Sing, but not too loud.

Avoid in-the-ear pods and protect your ears from noise. More here:

So I went to the dentist as I was due for a cleaning an a filling. Told him about the ear pain and he told me it could be TMJ. However after and hour of dental work my ear/jaw/face did not feel any worse so he told me it might not be tmj.

On a side note. after the filling I got this bad pain on the tooth when ever he touched it with a metal instrument. No issues when he used a wood stick to touch the tooth. Told me in 30 year never seem that because I did not have any other filling in the area.

Dental, ear, jaw/TMJ, ear pain is all very common with lyme.

Tooth nerves can really flare up from lyme.

Just curious: is that new filling of yours silver in color? This is important to know as those contain mercury and lyme patients have lots of problems with mercury.

I hope it was a mercury-free composite filling (the same color as you teeth). Either way, though, heavy metal detox is part of lyme treatment.

MAGNESIUM & Fish Oil are the best things for now while this is further examined.

Note his statement about the need for vitamin D with magnesium. That would be D3, not D2.
