Yes, I used to have this really bad. It got better with treatment. I used to read all the time.
I would read at night in bed and when I got the where every night I was having to read what I had read the night before I just stopped reading.
I couldn't follow any written directions either. It was so frustrating but it should get better with treatment as mine did. It feels good to be able to read again although I don't do it much now.
Don't feel stupid, it's part of the illness.

I couldn't read for a year, and I am a teacher/librarian. With treatment it is completely resolved.
