Been on Mepron 3 weeks...I have had my period for over two weeks. I went from skipping months to getting it every month for three months. Now I wont stop bleeding ! Its is not heavy but seems "fresh". Should I be concerned?

Lyme can definitely mess with cycles, but I think you should be checked by your gyno as a precaution.

I am sorry you are dealing with this.

I think you should see your gyno, just to be on the safe side.

Your body needs every fighting chance right now, and you really don't need to become anemic.

I hope you feel better soon.

I had this problem when I started Mepron. Saw gyn and they didn't know what caused it. That is also when I started to get this pain in my upper leg that was to die for. Pain went away when I finally stopped bleeding. Truly thought I would bleed to death.

You do need to see the gyn because you can actually lose too much blood and pass out (not good).

I'd call the LLMD if the gyno doesn't know what's wrong.

MIne stoped when BABS exsploded and they stop straight 4 months until I started Mepron.I know lyme was not activated as I treated it with bionic so I know BABS and bart in it together messed my brain so the CYCLE.I ended up full bedridden and in Wheelchair and had confusion and heart issues.

They both messed up with my brain pretty bad.The both exsploded and their load was high every where in my body .My body/gut almost shut down.

Lyme messed w/ my cycles too! Threw my OB/Gyn for a loop. She did every test including, papsmear, ultrasound my ovaries and uterus and then uterine biopsy to rule out cancer. Everything was PERFECT! No idea why my period was all over the place. I went in for acupuncture and after a few sessions it was back to normal. Go figure!!

That's why I don't know what your Gyn can possibly do if it's Lyme/Babs related... [Frown]

I remember being so scared and stressed waiting for the results. At the end they had no idea!

See? Thanks Scorpiogirl. How are you? I am so glad your little angel is doing well today !

Thats what I am talking about. I am going to my pcp and get my liver enzymes checked. Anything else I should have checked, since I am sure he wont have a clue? I do have a GYN appt Wednesday, not sure I should even bother.
