I am a year into Lyme treatment and went for my routine blood work last Thursday to check liver enzymes etc.

While at the Dr's office the nurse said I had a fever of 101.6. I felt fine except for a headache so I asked her to recheck and it was 101.7. (I get headaches a lot when the weather is about to do a major change).

The Dr looked me over and couldn't find anything wrong either.

My temp normally runs extremely low. I've had a temp since Thursday (that I know of). Every day I have felt just fine except last night.

Last night, I felt flu-ish and had burning eyes. But that only lasted for a few hours.

I'm surprised that this morning, I still have a fever 101.8 but I feel fine except my eyes burn a little.

Has anyone ever had this?

Sheesh. That is strange that you feel OK. Wonder if it's babesia?? Maybe you're just used to feeling crappy and don't notice any difference?

Day 6 of fever. 101.8 again this morning, but I feel fine.

Surely, the temp should be killing off bacteria??

I had fevers probably about that same point in treatment after having had low body temps. I wonder if it's the immune system finally getting strong enough to act on the bacterial infection???

Mine was always about 99.5-100, but it was consistently there.

I was thinking the same thing as all of you. It sounds like it's a good thing.

You didn't notice the discomfort because you always feel like crap.

I think this is an encouraging sign, mom!

I run a low grade fever on average of 3 days a week. Every week. I REALLY hope this is my immune system doing its job!

Does anyone know if coconut oil could bring on a fever? I still have a fever, but still feel fine!

The only thing that has changed is that I restarted coconut oil about 2 weeks ago.
