high MCV could mean vitamin deficiency such as B12 or Folate, could also mean your body is turning out more red blood cells than it normally does including some immature RBC's known as reticulocytes. They are larger than mature red blood cells and would cause the MCV mean corpuscular volume to be greater than normal.
