I remember reading about retracing back when I was doing the anti-candida diet (before I got Lyme) and how your body retraces through symptoms when ridding yourself of the yeast. I don't know if this is even medically factual, but in the circle I was "in" this was thought to be true.
I'm wondering if this is the case with Lyme? It seems that my herx's are retracing through my previous symptoms, almost like in order with most recent moving out.
The first herx symptoms were the mental things, like paranoia and anxiety and then I started moving through to the all over body pain and hair falling out.
Now I'm into this flu like symptom, extreme fatigue and achy body muscles and neck. It seems that every time I take a break from the medication, and come back on, I develop a different set of herx symptoms from the ones I'd just had a few days earlier, on the same exact medication.
Any idea as to why the symptoms of a herx change?

When I used natural treatments I retraced through every single symptom I ever had, it was very interesting. I didn't see it so much with antibiotics.
It's a common phenomenon with alternative medicine. When the body is given what it needs, it goes back and heals itself.
