"ALS" can be caused by more than one thing, including lyme disease. So, it is hard to say whether treatment would help her. And even if she has lyme, sometimes there is a point of no return. Difficult to know whether to try to reach such people.
Sometimes they have been contacted, have tried lyme treatment but because it was too late already, it did not save them. Then people say it was a scam, that they never had lyme to begin with. So, it can be very hazardous to try to intervene.

I can only tell you that my mother had most of the symptoms on the Lyme list and passed away 20 yrs ago from "ALS" There is no doubt in my mind that she had Lyme disease.
Unfortunately, little was known about Lyme disease back then. I would love to see the poor woman mentioned in the article above get tested for Lyme.
IMO, when there is a disease in progress, especially degenerative, there are usually pathogens to be found. Just can't believe the medical community is so unconscious about this.
I would not be surprised at all if she would test positive. Is there an e-mail address to the above article to send to at least alert the family of the possibility? Will go back and look.

i didnt see an emial but there was an address to send donations. i was thinking about sending $20 and saying she may consider being tested for lyme. if they pass well then at least the $20 might help a little.
