Anyone ever used IV rifampin instead of oral? I throw up everything because of gut issues so we need to make sure it stays in me. Would love to hear your experience if any.

I did it with levaquin. It was a tough med along with the lev. Eventually, I was sicker, rather than better. I suspect it was toxicity from the meds. I actually still have two weeks worth of meds laying around.
Now, don't take that as a negative. I get that way with ALL abx. After they stop working (or the infection is gone) the accumulation makes me sicker. When I stop the meds, I start to feel better.
It's a good med to use IV. It helped me more than oral rifampin did.
