i have taken four 150 mg of diflucan every day and i have three left.
i'm pretty sure he won't give me any more so i have ordereda product called zand candidaclear for when i run out. it was recommended by several people.
i woke up this morning with burning mouth and yep, white tongue. it's getting very painful. it's interferring with what little sleep i get, which is now 3-4 hours or less, sometimes as little as 1-2.
i have a bottle of liquid nystatin but don't use it because it's supposed to be full of sugar.
changed diet to total no sugar, which is really hard for me.
i am having vaginal pain, sort of like cramps, but not discharge. i did have a really bad odor but it went away.
how long will it take before this gets under control?
i'm taking florastor and jarrow in the morning and theralac, florastor and sf8 at night.
will this be a battle? is it lifelong? can thrush ever go away or is it really thrush?
somebody suggested morning mouth, but i don't know what it is?

could i just be getting worse instead of better? somebody suggested that the candida coming out and clearing will make me a lot sicker than before. is this true?
aso i still have the skin burning?
or, maybe, this is a herx? i've heard that yeast herxes are pretty hard.

What comes to mind:
1) either this is not yeast, it is something else OR
2) there is something in your diet that feeds yeast
because on diflucan and eating properly (no bread, cereal, nothing made from flour, no sugar, no honey, no fruit, no rice, no potatoes, no oats. etc.) you should not have yeast coming back on your tongue.
Are you scrubbing your tongue daily as explained by Burrascano (using peroxide)?
If you are following all the instructions in Burrascano to clear yeast, this should not be happening.
So, I would advise you to schedule an appt with the doc for when the diflucan runs out and let the doc look at your tongue and tell you if this is still yeast or something else altogether.
I hope by day 7 that this is all cleared up. If not, I would get right on it.

yeah i'm getting worried about this. the sides of my mouth are white, not patches but the skin is white and the back of my tongue is white. the tongue itself is gray, not read and healthy looking.
i'm also not quite sure about my doctor and may have to change. he is resistant to a lot of things and doesn't believe in lyme or systemic yeast, so that in itself is incentive to change.
i am very tired and run down.
i will say my muscles are not hurting near as bad as they were before i started the diflucan.
hmm, wonder if this could be related to all dental work i had done recently -- a three tooth bridge and two fillings?

I do think that the die-off can cause worse symptoms for a while. Also, some strains of yeast are resistant to some antifungals. If you can find a doctor who will send samples to a good lab, you can get a sensitivity test that will determine what types of antifungals (including some herbs, etc.) your particular yeast is susceptible to. Also, you will want to rotate the antifungals you use to treat. It could take months to get your problem under control, and by rotating your treatment, you can avoid getting a more and more resistant yeast.

DIET, DIET, DIET is the key. Then, be sure to follow the 5 step plan outlined below. It was developed by my naturopath. It works.
"Successful control and elminiation of a Candida Albicans overgrowth requires a multifaceted program as described below. Failure to follow ALL the steps simultaneously will result in slow progress and will lengthen healing time significantly. The program should be tailored to the individual and must balance the need to eliminate the Candida and deprive it of its food source while insuring proper nutrition for the individual."
Five Steps to Candida Elimination:
1. You must starve it into submission by eliminating its food source.
2. You must kill it with anti-fungal herbs and supplements. [e.g....garlic, onion, caprylic acid, Pau D'Arco capsules or tea, clove, grapefruit seed extract, olive leaf extract, oil of oregano, tea tree oil, Echinacea, Goldenseal, black walnut, MSM, barberry root, uva ursi, neem leaf, biotin]
3. You must reestablish the proper balance and quantity of probiotic bacteria in the digestive tract. [...multi-strain lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidus capsules with FOS should be taken between meals to maximize repopulation of the digestive tract by beneficial bacteria.]
4. You must reestablish proper levels of all B vitamins (yeast free) and utilize other immune enhancing supplements to boost immune system function. [e.g ... B complex vitamins (yeast free), biotin, beta 1-3 glucan, colostrum, maitake mushroom, vitamins A, C, E, zinc and selenium]
5. You must cleanse and heal the digestive tract to promote proper elimination of toxins and Candida and assimilation of nutrients. [e.g...chlorophyll, MSM, omega 3 fatty acids found in flax seed and salmon oils, GLA found in borage, evening primrose and black currant oils. Pantothenic acid, digestive enzymes between meals]

Another herb I have found helpful for yeast is cinnamon, the oil of cinnamon has potent antiyeast properties. It helped along with many of the above from TF and Lymetoo -- lots of good info there by the way.

Thrush and other undesirable organism overgrowths in my mouth is an ever present concern for me. In addition to following an anti-yeast diet, and taking Florastor, I also take Klaire Labs Ther-Biotic Complete and Bio-K+. Florastor is a good probiotic, but it does not contain enough varieties to work for me on its own. Ther-Biotic Complete has a range of beneficial bacteria and not only helps with maintaining a healthy mouth, but also has helped with my digestive system. Bio-K+ made an amazing difference in oral health for me. I keep it in my mouth for 30 seconds before swallowing; it got rid of the brown fuzzy tongue issue when nothing else could. I do not take any of these priobiotics in close proximity to the antibiotics. I also take a prebiotic (inulin) to create an environment conducive to good bacteria.
When all else fails, Systemic Formulas Bio Command 4 FungDX supplements can help put things right for me.
Also contributing to me getting rid of thrush and other oral overgrowths was getting my amalgam fillings replaced, brushing after every meal, flossing, and using the water-pik with a natural anti-fungal mouthwash in it.
It's a lot of trouble, but to me any amount of inconvenience is worth not having that awful taste in my mouth, and the stinging, burning, and tacky-dryness of thrush.

removing amalgams will have no effect to curing systemic or local yeast. lymetoo has the correct answer. you may need both oral systemic diflucan or vfend and nystatin or other for oral. massive doses of probiotics (fresh) help) it also helps to go off all abx while curing systemic yeast. scaping tongue with a wood stick and even a bikini razor if careful will allow the medicine to get down deep on the tongue at the base of the infection. docdave

stymie, I am glad you returned.
In ten years I have not seen anybody get rid of systemic yeast as long as their body was holding on to toxic metals and it gets worse when it enters the brain.
I am glad we can disagree.
Take care.
